Kounila Keo is a co-founder of a communications agency that specialises in integrated marketing strategies, public relations, digital campaigns, and market research. With a background in journalism, she has reported for AFP and other international publications for six years, providing her with a deep understanding of Cambodian and Southeast Asian media.
Kounila has collaborated with international and local companies, government agencies, and non-government organisations to develop integrated communications strategies. She has successfully overseen several long-term communications campaigns across multiple countries, including Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. She has also provided support to various international organisations in their efforts to implement social projects in Cambodia, such as in early childhood development, maternity protection, environmental protection, and youth empowerment.
Kounila holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (2016). She was a fellow of the ASEAN Youth Forum in Singapore in 2018 and was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2017 in the media, advertising, and marketing category. In addition to her professional achievements, Kounila has lectured at multiple universities, including the National University of Singapore, Myanmar Metropolitan College, NUM International College, and Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology.
