Singapore Insights: Cultural Intersections for Social Impact
Singapore Insights: Cultural Intersections for Social Impact gathered over 100 participants from the public, private and people sectors to examine how multi-sectorial collaborations through the arts can create, and have created, positive social changes in the communities they have touched.
Distinguished panellists included Dr Marissa Lee Medjeral-Mills, Executive Director of the Disabled People’s Association of Singapore; Mr Colin Goh, Founder and CEO of The RICE Company Limited; Ms Annie Yeo, Head for Corporate Social Responsibility in Asia at Deutsche Bank; and Mr Kenneth Kwok, Assistant Chief Executive at the National Arts Council. The panel was moderated by Ms Melissa Sim, Assistant Life Editor of The Straits Times.
Panellists shared their insights and their own experiences, having collaborated across sectors in their own work for many years. They discussed building ecosystems to tap on for resources, their own roles as connectors, and the benefits of working across sectors.
Singapore Insights: Cultural Intersections for Social Impact was organised in association with SIF’s Artists for a Better World programme, which brought together artists, arts administrators, programmers and social welfare organisations from across the world to examine how the arts can improve lives for persons with disabilities.
