Songs from the Heart of Kupang

Indonesian media including The Jakarta Post, Jawa Pos and Tribun came together for a briefing with the key project collaborators and musicians - who shared their inspiration and motivation in producing the music album ‘Songs from the Heart of Kupang’.

This year also marks Singapores 50th year of bilateral ties with Indonesia. The SIF is honoured to have helped build strong friendships between our countries at the people-to-people level, said David Chong, SIF Governor during his welcome remarks at the music album launch.

Through this music album, our children have been given a chance to express themselves and to make something they are proud of. This album is an enabler of better things to come, which is in accordance with the purpose of SIF itself in enabling, enhancing and improving friendships, said Budi Soehardi, Founder, Roslin Orphanage.

Musicians from Indonesia and Singapore belting out a piece from the music album. The residents of the Roslin Orphanage played an active role in contributing to the fund-raising efforts for the orphanage through recording the music album.

The launch of ‘Songs from the Heart of Kupang’ music album is a celebration of enduring friendships between Indonesians and Singaporeans working hand in hand to leverage the arts for social impact.
