A Journey into the Heart and Soul of Singapore
Travel websites often cite Singapore’s lush greenery and shopping district as reasons which make the Lion City stand out.
While true, many Singaporeans would also argue that their home is much more than that.
Through the SIF’s Journalist Visit Programme, 10 journalists from India and Indonesia had the opportunity to see that side of Singapore as they met individuals from our country’s people, public and private sector.
Their visit helped them gain a deeper understanding of Singapore as a compassionate, innovative and culturally vibrant city.
“It was an enriching experience interacting with various government and non-government bodies in the city. It gave a deeper insight into what makes Singapore a world-class city. The innovation and involvement of younger generation in daily life is something that every city should emulate.”
- Devparna Acharya, Firstpost, India.
“The JVP has built cross-cultural understanding among us, particularly through the sharing of perspectives, insights, and experiences. In fact, the highlight of the visit for me was the exchange of ideas with Singaporeans, as well as the media participants from India.”
