“Having someone believe in us in such a strong way until we believe more in ourselves is very empowering,” shared Singaporean Pramodh Rai (far left), 25, of Jugnuu. This social enterprise, which is co-founded by Ankita Gupta and Priya Andleigh, both 22-year-olds from India, aims to provide low-cost educational mobile solutions to students from low-income families in India.

“The YSE programme has connected us to friends who are all striving towards the common goal of social good,” shared Singaporean Debra Lam, 20, of Society Staples, one of the four winning teams at the Young Social Entrepreneurs: Pitching for Change. With her is Ryan Ng and together they have secured S$10,000 to set up Singapore's first all-inclusive gym, regardless of (dis)abilities.
