SIF Launches First Early Childhood Education Initiative in Indonesia
The Singapore International Foundation (SIF), in partnership with the Indonesian Kindergarten Teachers Association (IGTKI) West Java and the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), launched its first Early Childhood Education (ECE) initiative in Indonesia on 4 November 2019. The two-year Early Childhood Education Project seeks to enhance the capabilities of early childhood educators in the West Java Province.
A team of Singapore International Volunteers (SIVs) comprising faculty members from the ECE programme in SUSS will collaborate with their Indonesian peers and share their knowledge, skills, and experiences in ECE. By 2021, an estimated 9,000 members of the Indonesian community are expected to benefit from the project, including students, teachers, parents, and caregivers.
