Play Me, I’m Yours'

The Playtent & Singapore International Foundation present Play Me, I’m Yours in Singapore with the pianos available to play until 6 April 2016. 25 donated pianos, decorated by 25 local artists working with 25 different Social Welfare Organisations, have been located in parks, housing estates and public spaces for ALL to play and enjoy for 25 days.

More than 1500 pianos have now been installed in 50 cities across the globe, from London to Lima, bearing the simple invitation Play Me, I’m Yours.

Mr Luke Jerram and presenting partners from The PlayTent and The Singapore International Foundation – Ms Rebecca Lee and Ms Jennifer Lewis– launch the event to show how arts can bring people together and raise awareness for social good.

Play Me, I’m Yours featured 25 donated pianos, which were redecorated in a collaboration between 25 artists and 25 social enterprises and welfare organisations, to raise awareness of their causes through these pianos.

These decorated pianos are dotted throughout public spaces in Singapore- from parks to public shelters, commercial institutions to arts enclaves, and void decks to malls, with an open invitation for all to participate, till 6 April 2016.

‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ is part of SIF’s new Arts for Good initiative, centred on harnessing the value of arts and culture in connecting Singaporeans and world communities for positive social change.

Harnessing the power of the arts, ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ aims to bring people and communities together to build inclusive societies and effect positive change.
